Extraordinaires or "EOs" as they call themselves, are a group of people born with superpowers who had been living in secret among the rest of society for many years but peopled learned of their existence after they came out of hiding to help with the world war efforts. Years later, the EOs returned to their normal lives, but it did not take long before many were tracked down and captured by a strange organization... never to be seen or heard from again.

Learning the fate of their fellow EOs, a small group decide to band together to locate and rescue any EO who has not already been captured by the mysterious organization. After many failed attempts to locate the remaining EOs, a shapeshifter named Cail is able to rescue a healer named Josie and the two women fall in love.

But the mysterious people kidnaping EOs are still out there, still hunting them down and they have set their sights on the healer. They will stop at nothing to capture her and Cail will stop at nothing to protect her.
