This book, Mentoring: A Tool for Leadership Development, is based on the thesis I wrote for a Masters Degree in Governance and Leadership (MGL). I am therefore grateful to all my lecturers at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). I am particularly grateful to Dr Jemima Nunoo (Jemima Agyare) who did an excellent job in supervising my thesis.
I served Lt Gen BK Akafia as his ADC when he was the Army Commander (now Chief of the Army Staff). This gave me the opportunity to come under his mentoring as a young officer. If I am writing about mentoring, then I owe it as a duty to acknowledge this great General who has impacted my life and the lives of many military personnel.
