Mental Disorder is a novella that tells the story of how Sam Evans- a schizophrenic boy with no friends- and his journey through a mental hospital and the recovery of what he needs to remember to get out of there. While dealing with his delusions and selective memory loss, he meets a girl named Janie Davis who also suffers from schizophrenia. Together, they find ways to heal and find a life outside of the white walls to which they are contained. But Sam's conflicting past and present may get in the way of his hopeful future with the wonderful Janie. Sam already has to deal with doctors and horrible nightmares, so what could be worse? Maybe his friend, Harper, leaving him for far too long? Will his past be too much for him to even try to have a future- that is if he can remember at all?
