Here we go When some people saw AI coming, they thought, "Oh no, another doomsday scenario " They immediately wrote it off, categorically. As if we haven't been through this before, right?
When the Industrial Revolution began, you heard the same cries. Machines Assembly lines The end of the world And later with the digital revolution, you guessed it, the same old song. But you know what? This is progress, people. It's a wave you can't stop, so why not learn to surf? AI offers opportunities we've never seen before. The funny thing is, those same nay-sayers are already using it every day, often without even realizing it. Think of your smartphone, navigation, or the recommendations on Netflix. It's everywhere.
All that complaining made me think: I have to write a book about this And so I did. It's called MenShift.
This book is a story about a family that experiences the influence of technology through the years. From a grandmother who settled in France in the 1950s, to her grandchildren in 2035. We see a writer who is furious with algorithms that evaluate his work, a surgeon who embraces the wonders of medical AI, and a son who fully believes in progress but also worries about ethics. And then there's the youngest family member who is averse to technology but still gets sucked into the digital world. It's a journey through time, across generations, that shows how we are constantly transforming.
Is it progress? That's for you to decide. It turned out to be a substantial book, around 300 pages and 125,519 words.
Are you ready for the journey? Then grab your copy on Amazon for the paperback or on Kindle as an e-book. You can also read more on my website: www.sofikelleri.com.
