Menace is a Cajun crime novel set in fictional St. Beatrice Parish, Louisiana. Longtime small town friends seek to uncover plot against their friend, Bud Plaisance, who has been arrested and is locked inside a psychiatric hospital owing to the lies of his fortune-hunting wife who has lied about his domestic violence. She seeks control of Bud's businesses and estate. His friends begin shadowing her to gain proof of her conspiracy to sabotage Bud. What they discover is even murkier than what they first believed as they uncover her secrets and deceit.
