Good gift book, perfect for parties

This is such a cute and funny book and it really sucks you in. I bought a copy and brought it to a dinner at my parents' house. By the end of the night we determined that my boyfriend is a border terrier, my brother-in-law is a collie, my brother is a bull dog, and my father is a cocker spaniel. Two family friends in attendance turned out to be a dalmatian and a newfoundland. The breed descriptions are hilarious and right on target. This is a great party book! It would be really fun for a bridal shower or bachelorette party.

One fun book!

I have a copy of Ms. Hewit's book and it's very fun. What I like best about the book is leaving it out. No matter what other books or magazines are on the table, it's the one book guests always go for and gets people laughing. The `Make Your Man Behave in 21 Days' book sounds like fun as well but seems to be more of a training book while the `Men are Dogs in the Best Sense' book is more of a guide to understanding which `breed' of man best suits you. I highly recommend this book.

Delightful, Informative and FUN

Men Are Dogs (In The Best Possible Sense) is a great gift book designed to highlight the best traits in men by comparing them to man's best friend. The writing is delighful and the book is quite informative - you'll probably learn quite a bit about the nobility of both beasts. The tone is overwhelmingly positive and this is a great 'field guide' will help anyone feel good about the various 'breeds' out there - whether they are looking for a mate or wishing to identify the one they have (or are!) Any dog lover (male or female) would appreciate this book, as it deeply respects this lovable, loyal animal while highlighting the distinctive qualities that each type embodies. Gorgeous and colorful, loaded with great photos and is fully glossy - this is not a self-help book. Like the material inside, it's designed for lighthearted FUN. It's the PERFECT BOOK for anyone who wishes to appreciate the finer attributes of the male species!

Big Fun!

My house is stuffed with big fat coffee books, but this little zinger is the one that gets people talking. Everybody wants to know what breed they are. This book is written tongue in cheek but it's amazing (and kind of alarming) how intense people get trying to figure out their breeds and the breeds of their bosses, boyfriends, girlfriends, etc. The eye-witness style illustrations are hilarious and the little descriptions are dead on. Great as a book -- even more fun as a toy. Highly recommend.
