When an aging musician begins to give up on his dream of having a hit record, his son comes back into his life to film a documentary. He is forced to relive his memories and reevaluate how to process them in order to embrace the future.

William Howard Donahue, known to his fans as Billy Dee, is an American singer-songwriter, bass guitarist, and recording artist. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on December 4, 1956. His music career began in 1975 when he went on the road with Roger Lee and the Entertainers, and he has since played with many great musicians over the years including Wendel Adkins, David Allan Coe, Vern Gosdin, Johnny Paycheck, Redd Volkaert, and Dale Watson. He has been the frontman of many famous honky-tonks including Gilley's Nightclub in Pasadena, Texas, Skulls Rainbow Room in Nashville, Tennessee, and the Southern Comfort in Atlanta, Georgia. He is a member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Fame Class of 1997 and The Texas Swing Country Music Hall of Fame Class of 2014. He has recorded 7 albums and played on over 150 albums. He is widely recognized for his smooth deep voice and country presence rooted in the earliest country style. Roxzilla magazine referred to Billy Dee as "the Paul McCartney of Country Bass players". Billy Dee has two sons and two sisters. He has lived in Texas since 1997.

William (Will) Donahue was born in the city of Pasadena, Texas. He is an award-winning screenwriter, novelist, and actor. He served in the United States Air Force from 2006-2016 and received an Honorable Discharge. He has been married to Nicole Donahue since 2016 and together they have five children. He has lived in San Antonio, Texas since 2012. William is enrolled in LA Film School and is focused on screenwriting for his Bachelor's degree.
