Memories of the Trapline

By Edward Mirasty

This is the account of one of Dr. Edward Mirasty's memories as a child listening to stories in Cree that his grandparents and parents told. The account outlines one evening listening to a story and hearing timber wolves, then his grandmother telling a story about the wolves. This story reminds indigenous peoples of the importance of language and the art of storytelling as part of the indigenous culture.
