MEMORIES: We all have them. Some good, some bad, some happy, some sad. So many years have past by since these memories existed, but they remain memories regardless. We. cannot turn back time. But would we, if we could? For ME, it's a definite 'NO". Having such uncaring Parents, abusive in every way, growing up in a poor part of Northern England, survival was the only thing that we could do. I was so unhappy, that at aged 14, I ran away from home for 6 months to live in London with a much older man - certainly not to be with him, but as a place to stay, so paranoid was I that the Police would find me and take me home. I was taken home and soon found my self at 15, pregnant with my first child. The Laws in England forced us to Elope to SCOTLAND to be married at 16. The next 5 years were one of immense hardship and struggle. Until, luckily, we were accepted for immigration to Australia, where I have lived since 1973. Sinatra sang: "Regrets, I have a few but then again, too few to mention" in his song 'MY WAY'. Unfortunately I cannot echo his sentiments, but this is a true version of the memories of my life up until I was 21. A life of poverty, neglect and uncaring. I hope you enjoy it.
