County Louth, 'Contae L?' is named after the village of Louth and is a county steeped in myth, legend and history, going back to the pre-historic days of the 'Tain Bo Cuailnge' and Cu Chulainn. There are a large number of historical sites in the county, including megalithic tombs at Proleek and a religious site at Monasterboise. County Meath, 'Contae na M?' is named after the historic kingdom and province of Mide due to its history as seat of the High Kings of Ireland who sat in Tara. The county is home to the world famous passage tomb of Newgrange which is a World heritage Site.
