Set in a seaside harbour village of Port Kellen we meet Melody who is a kind hearted beautiful young woman with stunning long dark curly hair and lots of tattoos, her childhood was one full of heartache due to the abuse she had suffered from her evil parents.Thankfully she has her gran Evie who loves her dearly and Melody loves her just the same. Melody loves flowers and had spent a lot of time gardening with her gran and grandpops where she had learnt alot about sowing seeds and growing plants, she spent most of her childhood out in there garden or with her friend Carly who lived nearby to her gran and grandpops.Her love of gardening had made her want to study plants and after she finished secondary school she went to horticultural college and after she passed her exams she worked in the bluebells woods castle gardens which she loved, until one day her controlling boyfriend had got a job promotion which sees them move from there seaside home town of Port Kellen to the Lake District.She would have felt really alone there due to Alex hardly being home but she had her gorgeously sweet and funny cat called Simba to keep her company. One day after catching Alex having sex with another woman she finds the strength to walk away from the abusive relationship which she had been trapped in. When she arrives back in Port Kellen she drives straight to her grans house and later that day she bumps into hunky fireman Karl for the first time. But after a heated first encounter and convinced he is cat rasict, she soon sees how wrong she was.But with both his ex Lauren and Alex who is still thinking he can control Melody with the both of them causing trouble things aren't going to be easy.This book is the first in the Port Kellen Series In the second book set for release Autumn 2024 we will see a return of some familiar faces from this book plus some new ones including Steve a down on his luck young man whose life changes in a big way and Yazz a young single mum.
