Medleys is a short Memoir inspired by Augustine's ethic of Love, and the lofty thoughts of Ovid, Hesiod, and other ancient Philosophers. I aim to draw you in by stories from my own life and cause you to wonder if wisdom is the impassible constant, breaking into a world of change. I wanted make this memoir short enough to read in one sitting, yet drip every page with love and whimsy to inspire you and cause you think deeply. In Medleys, I reflect on my adolescence and some conclusions I made about life in my thirties. You will find love, longing, loss, and gratitude in these pages. You will also laugh at my journey from naivety to maturity. Hopefully you will leave with a template to navigate some of life's most tenacious challenges, including grief and mundanity.
