Wonderful Book!

I received this book as a gift after the birth of my third child in 1986. It is just beautiful. I read this book after the births of my next seven children and am now ordering it for two dear friends who are about to be first time mothers. This book is truly a treasure one can enjoy again and again.

this book spans generations

When we were having our babies in the late '60's & early '70's, my friends and I gave this splendid book to each other. Then it went out of print. To my delight it reappeared in recent years. It now is making the rounds with my childrens' friends. Celebrating the wonder of being a new mother and the awe of this incredible little human entrusted to your care never goes out of date. Wonderful

This wonderful book is a collection of thirty meditations for the new mother, written by Christian author and speaker Helen Good Brenneman. Starting with a special one for the first day, each one has a Bible passage, a short homily, a prayer, and an uplifting poem. I bought this book sight unseen for my wife, and am very glad that I did. The author is widely known and respected in Mennonite circles, but this book is written in a non-denominational manner that will make it a wonderful gift for any Christian mother. My wife and I both love this book, and highly recommend it to you.

Just Right!

I purchase a supply of these books evey so often to keep on hand for the new mothers in our church. A friend gave it to me when my son was born and I just loved it. The birth of a baby is such a wonderful, sensitive time and this touches your heart and spirit in all the right ways.

A book that will be read over and over

I had this book back when I had my children...and read it (and marked in it) so much, it almost began to fall apart. I also gave it to many people as a gift, and that's what I intend to do now, as my daughter-in-law is ready to deliver our first grandchild next month. A really special book that is wonderful both to give and receive.
