Did you ever have a lucky charm? Kira, a loner, finds herself all alone in the world, well almost; she's forced to live with her only living relative her grandfather after a freak accident with per parents. She's also forced to live in a small town which everyone has established friends by the time they are five and there isn't room for outsiders. She ends up having a crush on the cutest boy in school Jeremy Golden, who completely ignores her. When she's almost given up all hope of making friends in the small town of Lincoln NY, she finds some very interesting friends right around the same time she receives a strange gift for her 17th birthday. The odd birthday coin, a medallion, is sent to her by a mysterious person as there is no return address on the package that she receives. Once Kira receives the medallion, her life is turned upside down, she starts meeting special friends that have special abilities. She soon realizes that she has special abilities too. She's left wondering why she's received the medallion and if it's the reason for all of her recent luck. Medallions is an adventure that will keep readers on the edge of their seats.
