Meatball has a big idea for the Talent Show: he is going to stand on two paws. But when he tells the other dogs at the park, they huff and turn away; "Dogs walk on four paws, not two ". Suddenly his brave idea feels very wobbly.
With his cousin Luka cheering him on, Meatball practices step by step. Some days he rises tall. Some days he tumbles. Slowly, the wobbles start to shrink.
Then he notices a puppy sitting alone at the edge of the park and discovers that the tallest thing he can do has nothing to do with paws at all. It's walking over and saying, "Come play with us."
A warm, funny picture book about courage, practice, and making room for others. Written by a father-daughter team and inspired by a real girl's journey about overcoming challenges and a very real mini Goldendoodle. A portion of proceeds supports speech and communication programs and animal welfare organizations.
