The Measurement of Life: The Measurement of Life Writing Your Personal Declaration of Purpose
The Measurement of Life Writing Your Personal Declaration of Purpose
Discovering the Life You Were Meant to Live
What if the way you've been measuring your life was never meant to tell the whole story?
The Measurement of Life is a deeply reflective and personal exploration of how we define success, meaning, and fulfillment and why so many people feel empty even after doing everything "right."
In this thought-provoking book, Vgdawson invites readers to examine the invisible standards that quietly shape our lives: productivity, achievement, sacrifice, loyalty, and survival. She challenges the belief that life can be measured by titles, timelines, or external approval and offers a more honest, humane way to define a life well lived.
Through personal insight and intentional reflection, this book asks questions many avoid:
Who decided what a meaningful life looks like?
What have we been measuring and what have we ignored?
When does survival stop being enough?
And what does purpose look like when it's chosen, not inherited?
The Measurement of Life is not a guide for chasing more.
It is a declaration for choosing what matters.
Written for readers navigating life transitions, reassessing long-held beliefs, or standing at a crossroads of clarity, this book encourages you to:
Release inherited definitions of success
Measure life by alignment instead of approval
Find purpose beyond productivity
Honor growth at every stage of life
Live intentionally, without comparison or guilt
This book is for those who have achieved, endured, sacrificed-and are now asking a deeper question:
What does my life mean to me?
Because a meaningful life is not measured by what you accumulate, but by what you become.
