The inspiring story of young Jane Goodall, the legendary conservationist and primatologist, known for her revolutionary work with chimpanzees. A Caldecott Honor Book In his characteristic heartwarming... This description may be from another edition of this product.
My 4 year old granddaughter immediately synced with this book bc it began with Jane talking as a child! She told her own story about how she came to love all animals and especially chimpanzees. The quiet, calm narrative seems to reflect the real person, and she was caught up in the story of a girl who became a scientist. So very encouraging, from so many angles, for a young child, and perhaps a special message for girls. Our copy was well loved, which seemed to speak of its charm through time, perhaps, as I imagine that many children have come to experience her message.
