Better than most books twice as heavy!

I have right know - 5 books on this subject and I just passed the test on the first try with a 866 when only a 700 is required. I believe this book is what put me over the top and gave me some error room to boot! It is very easy to read and reminded me a lot of a textbook but thats a good thing, those "other" books try to make things much harder than they have to be. This book lays it out in a GREAT format. I found no errors unlike many other books and I recommend this with 5 star! - something I rarely ever give out. Good job to the author, keep it up! Highly recommend!

As good as it gets - do not look farther....I have looked at few of the books on this subject - this one is make you understand the subject in plain English - you do not feel stupid reading it.Combine with a good exam test questionary - and you will make it...

Thanks for the early Christmas gift!

Thanks in part to this book, I am now an MCP. I passed Exam 70-073 on December 23 with an 833 having only 3 months experience with Windows NT and using this book with the corresponding Exam Cram (ISBN 1576101932, a MUST HAVE!). The content was well presented and the hands-on exercises very helpful in preparation for the certification test. I plan on using New Riders again as I study for both NT Server exams (along with Alan Carter's Windows NT 4.0 MCSE Study Guide, ISBN 0764530879). Next stop, Enterprise. Good luck to all of you persuing your certifications!Brian J. Cicio, MCP

A good job overall

This book is as good as the author's book on Server. A serious (I don't think I can use this word on all those exam-prep books out there in the market), concise, technically sophisticated, and pretty much error-free book on Workstation.I personally feel that the Workstation test could be more difficult than the Server one. I guess Microsoft may reserve some more challenging questions for the Enterprise test, while they try to probe your knowledge on Workstation in a single test. To circumvent some unpleasant surprises, in addition to this book, you may need some other study aids, especially the Resource Kit.

Get it at once to pass the exam

Just like the other New Rider's MCSE core exams training guides. You can find Fast-Fact section of four core exams at back of the book. It can give you a quick revision and facts, at least can make me don't mix up the features of NT workstation and NT server.Yes, this book can let you pass the exam. I just pass it with 900. The exam tips, practice test, illustration are also in this book. Also, the well-organized contents that make me easy to follow. That's why I give this book five stars.I would recommend the four core exams training guide by New Riders. Don't neglect New Riders, especially this training guide.
