WONDERFUL

WHAT A WONDERFUL BOOK, RICH IN HISTORY AND PHOTOGRAPHS OF A VERY IMPORTANT PART OF PITTSBURGH HISTORY. EVEN IF YOU ARE NOT FROM THE PITTSBURGH AREA, AND YOU LOVE TROLLEYS, YOU SHOULD PICK UP THIS BOOK, THE PICTURES ALONE ARE WORTH BUYING THE BOOK. I ALSO KNOW THAT THE AUTHER IS PLANNING ON COMING OUT WITH A SERIES OF 3 BOOKS ALL ABOUT THE TROLLEY LINE IN THE PITTSBURGH AREA, AND IF THEY ARE ANYTHING AT ALL LIKE THE "MCKEESPORT TROLLEYS" I WILL DEFINATLY BUY THEM. MR. BEAL HAS DONE AN EXCELLENT JOB AND I CAN NOT WAIT FOR HIS NEW BOOKS.

nostalgia

One of the most enjoyable books to bring back memories of bygone days growing up in McKeesport and the surrounding area. My father was a motorman for Pittsburgh Railroad and this book plays an extremely important role to me of my youth. The book is easily read by most any age group. It is full of great photos and has been well researched. Trolleys are nearly extinct in some parts and many of today's youth will never be able to enjoy a "swaying" ride as the trolley rolls along the track. This book can bring this adventure to them. Also, the older folks will have many happy memories of happy times of the past.
