I found that this dictionary gives lucid definitions to physics terms. Also, categorizing the terms according to the field they belong in gives an added value to the book. In fact, it is very specific in regards to the subfield/branch of physics that a term is used in. I also own "Oxford Dictionary of Physics" and "Penguin Dictionary of Physics" both published by companies in based in England. I can assure you that this book is a lot less complicated and saves the technical jargon for the layman. It defines terms in a very simple and understandable English. If you like, go to the library and compare the three dictionaries before purchasing any of them and see for yourself. However, the bottom line is that you just need more than one dictionary on a particular subject. That is because one dictionary may define a particlar term in a better fashion than another.
