Those who have crossed swords with him over the years will claim that the man is pure evil, an ignorant violent misogynistic ageist right wing lunatic who, were it not for friends in high places, would be serving multiple life sentences for his crimes. For his part Redwinter doesn't see himself as a "wrong un", a "ne'er do well", more a 'man about town' who believes in "rugged individualism and the right to bear arms, and who is prepared to employ overwhelming force against what he sees as an uncivil society, where ultimately beneath a veneer of cooperation and inclusion it's every man for himself.
