Maya's Jelly Mess

This story was created by a mother-daughter duo and started with a silly song about Maya's messy jelly face, together they worked on taking that song and giving it a storyline. Maya wants to make herself a jelly sandwich for lunch and realizes she has made a huge mess. When she tries to clean up the mess gets worse and she needs some help. Her mom comes by and helps her clean because " It's always better when we work together", and the mess is cleaned up in no time. This story helps early readers with the rhyming sounds throughout the story and the introduction to vocabulary words. The story shows kindness, working together, forgiveness, responsibility, and good relationships. The moral of the story is that we all make a mess sometimes and sometimes it becomes too big to tackle on our own and we just need a little help.
