Maya Makes A Mistake: A Story About Learning, Forgiveness, and Beginning Again

By John L Solomon

Maya Makes a Mistake is a children's story about learning, forgiveness, and beginning again.
Maya loves doing her best. She enjoys helping, neat lines, and projects that make people smile. But when a classroom mural project goes wrong and Maya accidentally tears the tree she worked so hard to create, she feels embarrassed and afraid that she has let everyone down. With the support of Ms. Marolyn, the kindness of her friends, and encouragement from her parents at home, Maya learns an important lesson: a mistake is not the end. She discovers that telling the truth, accepting help, making things right, and trying again are all part of growing. This inspiring story helps children understand that mistakes do not define who they are. They can learn from them, repair what they can, and begin again with courage. Perfect social emotional learning resource for parents, teachers, counselors, and caregivers. Maya Makes a Mistake encourages children to build confidence, practice honesty, accept forgiveness, and believe they can still soar.
