Love this book. I've always enjoyed train movies, and this is my favourite train book. Non stop action! Like the other reviewer said, the main character is no saint, with a less than savoury past, but you are cheering for him at the end, because there is much worse than him around - especially on this train.A recomended read if you run across it second hand.
Highlights the grey scale between right/wrong, good/evil.

The hero is no saint! Yet his motives and methods make him a role model (not that I recommend robbing a train!) I read this book when it first came out and have read it several times since. I have kept it through four moves and expect it will stay on my shelf for some time.

This is my favorite book!!!! If you had to pick 1 book to read, pick this. A book you can't put down. "You feel the same as the train, racing down the track at 79 mph"
