As Eddie again gunned his hydraulics Sofia folded the dead girl's fingers around the pistol's grip, pressed the barrel against her lover's black heart then pulled the trigger once more. And as Eddie backed from the empty container to assault a second, Sofia dropped the pistol atop her lover's stilled chest, hastily wrapped her raincoat about her blood spattered nudity then silently vanished into the moonless New Year's mist.
