The Gospel of Matthew is the very first book in the New Testament of the Bible. It was written to show everyone that Jesus is the King and Savior that God promised long ago
Here is a simple summary of the main parts of Jesus' story in Matthew:
 1. The Promised King is Born
The book starts by showing Jesus' family tree, proving he is related to King David. Then, it tells the story of Jesus' birth. Wise men travel from far away, following a bright star, to bring gifts to the new baby King.
 2. Getting Ready for His Mission
When Jesus grows up, he is baptized in a river by his cousin, John the Baptist. Suddenly, the sky opens up, and God's voice says, "This is my Son, whom I love " After this, Jesus goes into the desert, where he stays strong and resists bad choices. Soon after, he chooses 12 helpers called disciples.
 3. The Great Teacher
Jesus travels all over, teaching people how to love God and treat each other with kindness.
The Sermon on the Mount: Jesus stands on a mountainside and gives his most famous speech, teaching the "Golden Rule" (treat others how you want to be treated).Storytelling: He uses short, clever stories called parables (like the story of a lost sheep or a tiny mustard seed) to explain what heaven is like.✨ 4. Power and Miracles
To show he really is God's Son, Jesus does amazing things:
He heals people who are sick, blind, or can't walk.He calms a giant, scary storm with just his words. He feeds over 5,000 hungry people using only five loaves of bread and two small fish He even walks right on top of the water during a storm to help his friends.✝️ 5. The Ultimate Sacrifice and Victory
Some leaders do not like how popular Jesus is, and they plan to stop him. Jesus is arrested and dies on a cross. His friends are incredibly sad and put his body in a tomb with a giant rock in front of it.
But three days later, the giant rock is rolled away. Jesus is alive again
 6. The Big Mission
Before Jesus goes back to heaven, he meets with his followers one last time. He gives them a giant job called The Great Commission: to go out into the entire world, share his love, and teach everyone how to follow him. He promises them, "I am with you always, until the very end."
