Get on the wish list! Poldark does not disappoint with the incredibly handsome Aiden Turner as Ross Poldark. This is period drama at its best. Poldark from the book series, is a story of a man's life as a mine owner in Cornwall in the 1700s right after coming back from America as a British soldier in the Revolutionary War. As he says when asked why they lost in Season 1, "We were on the wrong side"....Poldark is the ultimate man, handsome, tough, fearless, and of course looking fab in high leather boots, a long coat & tricorn hat! He & Demelza, his wife & former scullery maid, fight thru hard times making a life for themselves & the poor in the district. Ross is described as being "incorruptible" and "honest dealing" & that is his weakness thinking others are the same. But he triumphs being the fearless, ever pushing on man that is a hero to his friends & workers & a thorn in the side of the people who wish to trample all those who dare get in their way. Must see this!
