A Helpful Guide to Understanding Joshua

I enjoyed this commentary because it is written in a very clear, understandable, and practical way. This commentary is designed to help laypeople, teachers, and preachers to understand and teach the book of Joshua. Not only does the author explain the text but he is able to give some illustrations and practical insights as well. I also liked the way in which he organizes the chapters of Joshua by topical headings such as "A Lifestyle of Promise, Learning How to Avoid Spiritual Defeat". This commentary is helpful for Bible students who like a good expository commentary and one that is not overly technical. I recommend it.
