Mastectomy Poems

I put this booklet together as a gift of love for my wife.

In March of 2025, Gloria had a suspicious mammogram of her left breast, which was followed by a second mammogram, then biopsies, an MRI and sonograms and finally on September 30, 2025, a mastectomy - the removal of her left breast.

After Gloria read the manuscript, she suggested it needed to be shared. So many women are facing breast cancer with all its complication physically, emotionally, and even within relationships. The words and art in this book might help them as they go through the experience of breast cancer.

It is our sincere hope that this small book of seven poems and art work will bring readers solace and joy and comfort and understanding - you can get through this - you are not alone.
