If you are looking for the standard “New” Disney Vs the classics, you have found the perfect example. We have run-of-the-mill animation, forced songs, out-of-work actors (well, maybe not Emily Blunt), subpar scripts made to fill time, and hokey acting (If you can call it that).
There is one positive thing to look for, or actually listen to. Jay Leno had the car that the film producers needed to record the sound effect of a 1930s car.
This film trades on the reputation of the original Mary Poppins (1964). In the meantime, there have been other Mary Poppins spinoffs.
Most of the filming locations were on various Stages, Shepperton Studios, Shepperton, Surrey, England, UK.
There is nothing wrong with this presentation—just better things to watch.
