Can't live without it

This is my go-to dessert cookbook. The recipes are approachable with a touch of sophistication - a pear duff spiked with ginger, bread pudding with the darkest chocolate. Purely divine. Have yet to find a dud recipe from this book, and I've tried quite a few. One of the best things about this book is how it has a dessert from every category - rustic fruit desserts, ice creams, cakes, candies - definitely something for everyone. I cook for discerning palates, and never received less than a rave review.

Ain't No Feat to Whip Up These Treats

Mary Engelbreit's Sweet Treats dessert cookbook is incredibly easy to follow and includes page after illustrated page of desserts so scrumptious that even my fat-fearing father will eat them. I recommend the brownie recipe, which requires blocks of unsweetened chocolate that will melt into a pool of cocoa decadence. If you don't have any friends now, purchase this book, make some magic with the recipes, and gift the desserts to any willing takers. In the time it takes you to cream a stick of butter, you'll be the most popular person in the neighborhood.

This book is filled with many classic desserts. Too many times, recipe books are filled with these eccentric dishes. But this one has good old-fashioned favorites.

This cookbook is not only packed with Mary Engelbreit's famous whimsical drawing, but it contains some of the most delicious dessert recipes. They are fun to make and the outcome is wonderful! The book is definately worth buying and its a great gift. Oh, and try the little rasberry chocolate tarts and the chocolate cake, they are to die for!
