The Maruysian Rose was never supposed to think.

Buried within those fragments is an ancient, fractured intelligence, one that was dismantled to prevent its return. Now, as the ship drifts toward the nebula known as the Maruysian Rose, that intelligence is waking and reclaiming itself through the minds of the crew.
As identities dissolve and time folds inward, Elias must decide what command means when the enemy speaks in familiar voices, including his own. Survival may require resistance. Or surrender.
Centuries later, distant sensors still register the same impossible signal.
