Big animals pop out of each page.

Fans of paper art and pop-up books will admire this one. On every two-page spread, a different giant animal pops up -- a flamingo, a frog, a chimpanzee with a rotating head, a peacock, a cheetah, and, finally the giraffe. I wish the author hadn't resorted to the overly formal "Here's Mr. Lizard coming down the path" construction, however, and the Marty mouse character is drawn rather more cartoonishly than the other animals. Yet this remains is a fast and fun seek-and-find tale.

Great book

My 15 month old daughter loves to read about Marty's adventures. In fact, we read this book a minimal of 10 times a day. Generally more. The book provides the parent with an opportunity to discuss different animals and their unique features.
