Accessible Interaction With Heidegger Written By His Student
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 18 years ago
I purchased this in 1976 when studying under a German Philosopher who was also a student of MH in Germany (and who subsequently published his own book on Heidegger) and who strongly recommended this little book,Biemel's illustrated study, as the backbone to his course which focused primarily on the textbook "Being And Time". This picturesque book is a lovely one and still serves as a wonderful companion to Heidegger's thought spanning 7 of his works and is much more than a hero tribute but stands on it's own as a good read unravelling phenomenology it's terms and ideas, within it's historicity, past developments discussed and in the words of the author MH's works are a mountain range we are not yet in a position to climb. My own fascination with "existence" led me to Heidegger and the man's importance remains to the day despite all the controversy surrounded the flirtations of Nazism, and his understanding of destiny steeped into the past traditions of Fichte and Hegel and this unfolding of the "ego"/spirit incorporating into an MH dictum that "we are too late for the gods, but to early for Being" An out of print book that helps climb the mountain in a homage form with many photos and pastoral spirit.
