Martha's Vinyard REview

The seller delivered the book on time and in good shape. The book itself was excellent - many great pictures and an interesting history.

Island ways

Good book. Gives some good history, some firsthand, of the island before it was invaded by Hollywood types, Jaws and slippery politicians like the Kennedys and the Clintons. Island life is different from mainland life and this book spells out why. The author laments the changes though admits the poverty in the past was nothing to be nostalgic about. I found it interesting to read comments about relationship between islanders, tourists and "summer people." They may not understand or even like eachother, but they need eachother.
