When the days start getting longer and of course warmer the marsh starts to tell its own story. Summer in the marsh is like a sea of green. The wetland plants grow thick and wild. Twice a day, the tides along the coast rise and fall six to eight feet, providing nutrients, oxygen and water while carrying away waste.
A natural and extremely productive ecosystem.
The salty-sweet just a bit fowl fragrance is endearing.
Maybe that's a little optimistic.
The bad smell is common and most Savannahians don't notice it. What they do tend to notice is a dead body.
The man in the marsh had been stabbed in the back.
Death was instantaneous.
Detective Randall Wilson and his partner detective Nelson are assigned the case. As they investigate the list of suspects keeps growing. The detectives search systematically for evidence and clues as to who killed the man in the marsh. Unfortunately, they have more suspects than they imagined, and it takes some time.
