This is the second in a series by Maureen Child about the King brothers in N CA. This one is weaker than the first book. I think it is because you have to stretch your imagination more to accept the premise. The characters are well developed with a warped visions of money and life. The heroine and hero have known each other for a lifetime but they learn they don't really know each other. Time passes and they adjust to the bargain. Not so surprising twists with these characters do not seem to be cliched in character. The reader knows all long love conquerors everything but characters have to learn it.
