Marriage is the formal and recognized union of a man and a woman to become man and wife. God ordained marriage and defined it to serve real purposes. The Bible teaches that "marriage is honourable in all". There are finite guidelines to successful marriage relationships between couples. The guidelines can be found in the Bible. The concept of marriage as originally conceived by God at creation is presented in a very lucid manner. The basis of marriage goes beyond the confines of conventions and mere traditions. The emphasis in this book is on marriage as a covenant. The stress is on what one can give, that is, to contribute into a relationship, rather than what one will expect or gain from it. The background to this is the relationship with Jesus Christ as the basis of the covenant.
