Straight-laced, conservative stock-market analyst Miranda Johanson has had a very bad day. First, she lost eight million dollars of her clients' money. Then, if that weren't bad enough, she had wild, no-holds-barred sex with a complete stranger on her coffee break-and he turned out to be her new boss. Can Miranda get control of herself without losing her mind, or will her sexy new boss completely derail her career?
I have been experimenting by reading small publishers and trade paperbacks, hoping to find new talented authors that are fun to read, and not just the same author you see everday in mass paperback on the cashier lane on the way out of the checkout. I found it here. Market for Love was a great book that I would recommend to my friends with no regrets. It was exciting the entire way through. Featuring steamy sex, a blackmailing ex, and the worst day ever--which we can all relate to, even if we haven't lost $87 billion dollars in the stock market lately. I honestly didn't expect it to be this good when I heard the author also worked as a journalist. Writers don't use the same skills in storytelling as they do in non-fiction, but Jamaica Layne's voice was emotionally compelling and really added to the story. She has a firm handle on her craft, and I thoroghly enjoyed her book. It was a great Sunday afternoon read.
