7th grader Mark Morgan loves school like a root canal without anesthesia. The constant bullying and boring classes fulfill every nightmare until he accepts an invitation to attend the most advanced technology school in the world, a place where dreams come true.Once there he finds the school delivers that promise: playing practical jokes, hunting for Missouri River Pirate treasure, joining a robot combat team with classmates who don't hide when they see him. Unfortunately a senior bully also picks on him only partly due to Mark making a fool out of him on occasion (okay, make that all the time).Then the bully's girlfriend tries to involve him in a conspiracy theory of strange disappearances only she and the mysterious Grendel know are happening and after her, he's the next to go and no mad scientist, haunted doll or rocket powered yellow buffalo can save him......and she might be right...except for the buffalo part...probably...
