Frilled columns, cushioned pillows, planar benches--Mennin's stone carvings blend seamlessly with the landscape while accentuating human effort
Originally trained as a figure carver, sculptor Mark Mennin (born 1960) has steadily increased his scope to site-responsive installations made of marble and granite. Observance surveys his 30-year oeuvre, with contributions from colleagues and art critics including Dore Ashton, Tristan Cassamajor and Peter Drake.
