His political inclinations favored the Napoleonic dynasty, which led to his proscription in 1815. Despite these challenges, he managed to return to Paris in 1820. Bory de Saint-Vincent's scientific endeavors continued as he led a scientific expedition to the Morea in 1829 and later explored Algeria in 1839. His literary contributions were substantial, including his role as editor of the "Dictionnaire classique d'histoire naturelle" and his involvement with the "Annales des sciences physiques." Among his works focusing on periods of change are "Essais sur les les Fortun es" (1803), "Voyage dans les les d'Afrique" (1804), and "L'Homme, essai zoologique sur le genre humain" (1827). His efforts significantly contributed to the popularization of natural sciences during his time.
