From an early age, the child prodigy has been a lover of culture and stories of the sea. She dreams of becoming a Merchant Navy officer when she grows up.
However, at the time, this possibility is denied her for a myriad of reasons. The society of the time will not allow her to fulfil her desires. One day, however, a tragic natural event will change the course of her life forever. Marianna will be the only survivor of her family.
