Honest without being sensational

Not only is it one of the best biographies of Maria Callas, but one of the best biographies in the series. We get a balance of history and performance. The reviews were of friends, acquaintances, and professionals in the field of opera and history. They allowed each person time to express their thoughts and avoided just giving sound bites. Some of the best performances were interspersed throughout. For those asking where Onassis is, he doesn't appear until after the presentation has progressed some. Two major presentations are the final concert in Tokyo and a recording from the Juilliard School. An added plus is that I have not seen any presentation of Norma and will not have to view them.
