Master entrepreneur, technocrat, and filmmaker, Haresh Sippy plays multiple roles with ease and distinction. A pioneer in design technology and fabrication methodology in the field of process equipment manufacturing, particularly Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers, he began his career in the mid-1970s by manufacturing Sampling Bombs for Esso Refinery (now HPCL) and Oil and Natural Gas Corporation, a step that resulted in significant import substitution.

At the invitation of Caltex Refinery, Sippy developed the technology of rolling titanium tubes. His innovative efforts led to advancements in Cu-Ni, Ni-Al-Br, and Ti metallurgies, along with Monel Weld deposits on CS tubesheet blanks, laying the foundation for technological self-reliance.

TEMA India traces its origins to Leo Engineering Works, which Sippy founded in 1975. Initially focusing on components, the company eventually expanded into the manufacture of Shell & Tube Heat Exchangers.
