Many Are Called: The Lion of Deseret

By Mike Barham

America has collapsed and one man's lonely fight for survival ignites intense firefights to save stranded Latter-day Saints.

Trouble explodes around ex-paratrooper Kyler Poe in downtown Phoenix when he saves a small group from starvation - and worse - at the hands of marauders and organized sicario gunmen. Kyler learns there is refuge in the territory of Deseret, governed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The group convinces Kyler to guide them through hostile Navajo lands to safety. Armed with grit and his personal arsenal, every step is a battle to protect them.

Will the new nation of Deseret accept a mixed-faith band led by a trained killer? Can the sanctuary survive threats on its borders and insurgent uprisings from within? Kyler's greatest battle, however, rages inside him, as he grapples with questions of faith and purpose in a world gone to hell.

Many Are Called: The Lion of Deseret is a raw, thrilling tale of survival and sacrifice in a chaotic American West.
