Man's Duality

Man is a complex being, his richness and complexity distinguish him from all other living being, he is so complex he can not understand his own actions. He is referred to as: - An old man as well as a new man, an outward man, as well as an inward man: A being who lives in accordance to the flesh, and a being who lives in accordance to the Spirit: A being with a carnal mind, and a being with a spiritual mind. The Apostle Paul in the book of Romans chapter seven; verses 15-20, alluded to this fact by saying; "For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me." From all indications, there are two diametrically opposite sides of man both with their individual characteristics, each tree bearing its own fruit, therefore to have a better understanding of our own actions, it is imperative that we understand man's duality
