Handy to Have

I am buying this book because I can't keep renewing it from the public library forever! I have been using it with my second grader on an ongoing basis to help him have good manners and to help him see why good manners are important and helpful to him. The other day, I let him buy the milk in a local convenience store. He remembered to say, "Thank you." The clerk told him that he was a good boy. He was so pleased. I think discussing this book helped him learn how to behave well in the store and earn that praise.
