Mykel, a 9th grader, is chosen to be an obstacle to hell's freedom, as demons are given an opportunity to walk the earth, freeing themselves from eternal damnation. However, the catch comes in, with only a selective handful of demons, being able to target the human girl, as the rest must stay in the abyss, hoping for a victory. This victory being, killing the 9th grader, and bypassing her chosen bodyguard, Gabriel, a demon gone rogue, fighting for his freedom, as he chooses to serve Heaven, in this underground war.
