Manchester bus talk: swapping stories

Most people spend many hours on their 'devices' Stabbing away at a mobile phone has largely replaced what used to be an opportunity for the phatic exchanges between fellow passengers on the bus. However, some travellers, including some of mature years, still prefer the real conversation experience. The author has spent hours commuting on public transport, swapping stories, some quite boring, others utterly riveting. These short stories, though not factual, draw their inspiration from such passenger exchanges. I am grateful to my fellow passengers for their companionship and sharing their views on life.
